Over the last several years, we’ve noticed that people generally look to improve their health and fitness in 3 core areas: Function, Aesthetics, and/or Performance
Knowing this, we’ve developed frameworks for each to ensure our members have a clear progression path and a means to measure and track it.
That’s why we created our Performance Leveling System.
It’s not a challenge, not a competition, and not a ranking system. It’s a simple way to understandwhere you’re at with your fitness and what to focus on next.
What it is
A few times per year, we’ll use structured benchmark workouts to assess:
- Strength
- Aerobic capacity
- Anaerobic capacity
Each test is scored individually on a 1–6 scale.
There is no overall level, and it’s normal to have different levels across different tests.
Why it matters
Most people don’t struggle because they aren’t working hard — they struggle because they lack clarity.
This system helps:
- Remove guesswork
- Make training more intentional
- Provide clearer coaching and direction
It’s about clarity, not comparison.
How it works
- Testing happens 3 times per year
- Tests are spread across the week and built into classes
- Results are recorded on a scorecard
- Participation is encouraged, not required
How it fits different goals
- Performance: This is the primary framework
- Aesthetics / Function: It’s helpful context, but not the guiding framework
Everyone can test.
Not everyone trains for the levels.
